In December 2019, I started to receive trainings and join training groups in subjects I was curious about by realizing what I wanted to do for a long time. Thus, I had the opportunity to develop myself more in my interests. Thanks to @enerji_kocu with the “7 Days 7 Chakra Awareness” group, my perspective on the chakra has changed greatly and my prejudices have disappeared. I have noticed how it affects or triggers us, our lives, our daily lives or our illnesses. I wanted to share the beauties that he added to you. “What is a chakra?” “What are the features of the chakras?” If you are curious, I wrote brief information below. I hope those who are curious read and can really benefit.
What is Chakra?
Chakras are actually the main energy centers of the body. Chakra means “wheel” in Sanskrit and you can imagine your chakras as free flowing positive energy wheels. I would also hear those who say “chakra is off” and learned that it was wrong. The chakra would not be closed, it meant that all the flow of energy had stopped. Chakras could only be clogged, and the flow of energy might have slowed.
Chakras are energy points or power lines in the middle of our body. Energy flow problems that may occur in chakras can also cause some diseases that we may experience in our internal organs. Therefore, proper flow of energy is also important for our health.
Root Chakra (Muladhara)
It sits in the human body, at the base of the spine and gives us a feeling of grounding. In fact, it passes as the source of life force. When the root chakra is open, we rely on our ability to withstand difficulties and stand on our own feet, but when there is energy congestion, we feel threatened as if we are standing on an unstable ground.
In cases where the root chakra works poorly:
- Problems in the leg, foot, rectum, tailbone and immune system
- Male reproductive parts and problems with the prostate gland
- Arthritis, knee pain, sciatica, eating disorders and constipation
- Intense stress, constant anxiety about money and financial security issues
Location: Spinal base, in the tailbone region
What it controls: Financial independence, survival issues like money and food
Mantra: “I cannot grow on an unstable basis.”
Color: Red
Element: Earth
Sacral Chakra (Swadhisthana)
It is the center that manages creativity and sexual energy. Those with a sacral chakra obstructed may experience a lack of control in their lives.
In cases where the sacral chakra works poorly:
- Sexual and reproductive health problems
- Urine problems, kidney function disorders
- Hip, pelvic and low back pain
- Inability to express emotion or desire
- Constant fear of betrayal
Location: Lower abdomen, about 2 fingers below the navel
What it controls: Sense of abundance, well-being, pleasure and sexuality
Mantra: “I always honor others, but not before myself.”
Color: Orange
Element: Water
Stone: Tiger Eye
Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura)
It talks about our ability to trust yourself and control your life. If our solar plexus chakra is blocked, we can start to skimp on ourselves. Those with open sacral chakras are more free to express their true self.
In cases where the solar plexus chakra works poorly:
- Digestive problems
- Chronic fatigue
- Pancreas and gallbladder problems
- Incredible internal criticism
- Fear of constant rejection
Location: Upper abdomen in the stomach area
What it controls: Self-worth, self-confidence and self-respect
Mantra: “Self-love begins when I accept all parts of myself.”
Color: yellow
Element: Fire
Stone: Amber
Heart Chakra (Anahata)
The heart chakra, as its name suggests, can affect our ability to give and receive love from others and ourselves. A person with a blocked heart chakra may have difficulty opening up fully to the people in his life.
In cases where the heart chakra works poorly:
- Asthma
- Upper back and shoulder problems
- Arm and wrist pain
- Extreme love for drowning, jealousy and bitterness
- Fear of being alone all the time
Location: Center of the chest, just above the heart
What it controls: Love, joy and inner peace
Mantra: “When I love myself, it is easy to love others.”
Color: Green
Element: Air
Stone: Rose Quartz
Throat Chakra (Vishuddha)
The throat chakra sounds to the heart chakra and controls its personal strength, our ability to communicate. When it operates at full capacity, it allows us to express ourselves in a real and clear way. Someone with a throat chakra stuffed feels like having trouble finding words to say how it really feels.
In cases where the throat chakra works poorly:
- Thyroid problems
- Throat ache
- Ear infections
- Neck and shoulder pain
- Problems of not expressing yourself
- Fear of getting out of control constantly
Location: Throat
What it controls: Communication, self-expression and truth
Mantra: “I’m always telling my truth.”
Color: Light Blue / Turquoise
Item: Sound / Music
Stone: Aquamarine
Third Eye Chakra (Ajna)
As we move the body upwards, we are approaching communicating with the divine. We can think of this as the eye of the soul. Records information beyond the surface level. Sight and intuitive signs are not uncommon for someone with an open third eye chakra.
In cases where the third eye chakra works poorly:
- Headache
- Blurred vision and eye strain
- Sinus problems
Location: Take between the eyes (also known as the Brow Chakra.)
What it controls: Intuition, imagination and wisdom
Mantra: “I am open to discover things that cannot be seen.”
Color: Dark Blue / Purple
Stone: Amethyst
Crown Chakra (Shashrara)
The highest chakra, the crown chakra, is located at the top of the head and represents our ability to fully bond spiritually. When you open your crown chakra completely – something few people can do! – you can reach higher consciousness.
In cases where the crown chakra works poorly:
- Solid thoughts
- Depression, bipolar, schizophrenia, brain tumor …
- Continuous fear of alienation
Location: Top of the head
What it controls: Internal and external beauty, spiritual connection
Mantra: “I am a ship for love and light.”
Color: Violet / White
Stone: Clear quartz
